About Liver and Biliary Cancer Center
The Liver and Biliary Cancer Center provides personalized services for liver, pancreas and biliary cancers, which while they are relatively rare, are aggressive and generally associated with poor outcomes. Most of these patients require multidisciplinary specialty care for successful treatment with emphasis on aggressive surgical care. Highly-specialized surgical options can offer the possibility of a cure for these types of malignancies.
The center focuses on hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery, more commonly referred to as hepatobiliary surgery-advanced, using minimally-invasive and open surgical techniques to treat cancer and diseases of the liver, pancreas, bile duct and gall bladder. These procedures involve major resections and complex reconstruction of the bile duct, hepatic artery or portal vein requiring specialized training and experience.
Dr. Lokesh Bathla and Nurse Practitioner Brittany Green see patients in Physicians Plaza I as well as at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital.
