Nurse Practitioner
Katrina was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and began her medical pursuit by attending Health Careers High School. She went on to graduate from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas with a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and a minor in psychology. Her passion for nursing was unveiled while working as a certified nursing assistant at a nursing home in Bryan, Texas, and she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. After graduating from nursing school, Katrina returned to San Antonio to begin her career as a registered nurse. Her medical experiences on a medical-surgical and neuroscience floor at University Hospital served as a solid foundation for pursuing her dream to become an advanced practice nurse. Katrina completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona and is now a certified family nurse practitioner. She is in the last phase of completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as well as Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Katrina joined Texas Transplant Physician Group's hepatology team in late 2014 and looks forward to providing exceptional healthcare and building long-term relationships with her patients.
