Yesenia Williams, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner
As a child, Nurse Practitioner Yesenia Williams was drawn to nursing and had the opportunity to shadow nurses and physicians in high school. As a middle-child, and family peacekeeper, she learned valuable interpersonal skills that continue to serve her well as a nurse practitioner! After completing Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, Yesenia worked in the ICU at Cape Fear Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina for more than five years. "I loved it! I loved everything about it. It's a large community hospital where I saw everything: trauma, sepsis, renal failure and strokes," says Yesenia. After her husband was transferred to San Antonio, Yesenia spent a year and a half with Christus Santa Rosa before joining the Liver Disease and Transplant team at Texas Transplant Physician Group in 2016. Yesenia completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner.
