Texas Transplant Physicians Group would like to congratulate Dr. Paul J. Shaughnessy on his nomination and election to the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation Board of Directors! The American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation is an international professional association that promotes the advancement of the blood and marrow transplantation field.
Dr. Shaughnessy is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology. He serves as the Director of the Adult Blood and Marrow Stem Cell Transplant Program and is an assistant professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In addition to his new position with the ASBMT, he is a member of the American Society of Hematology, Bexar County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, Texas Transplantation Society, Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy, and the American Society for Apheresis.
